Letter Sweaters

Grandma bought us new sweaters for winter.  We love them.

We went to see Santa

Well, Ian and Sam do not like Santa Clause.  I took them to get there picture taken and this is what we ended up with.  LOL.  I do think these pictures are funny.  Don't worry, the boys were fine as soon as I picked them back up.

Christmas is coming!

So I tried to get some cute pictures to use on Christmas cards.  Not an easy task.   After about 30 minutes of trying and failing, we got a few good ones!!  All I had to do was pretend to trip and fall and they could not stop laughing.  Where did they get that sense of humor?!  Here is one that will go on the Christmas cards.

Our first paintings

Ian and Sam created their first paintings at daycare (they go on Friday mornings).  Their first creations are entitled "Hair".  I think they are just beautiful!

The boys are also spending lots of time riding retro rocket lately.  They are so cute when they get on by themselves.  They are very proud, even if they are on backwards.

Grandma sent us a tunnel city!

WooHoo!  Grandma Jean sent us a toy that is a bunch of tents and tunnels you can connect.  Too bad Mommy and Daddy don't have a house big enough to put all 4 up at once.  We like to play in this all day!

Sam gets his first haircut

We took Sam to get his first haircut because he looked like he had a mullet.  Living in South Carolina, some people would not think anything of a person with a mullet.  We however decided he needed to get it cut.  He did great!  He never cried and sat still the whole time.  The girl that cuts their hair is great with kids.  She is a blond so Sam was turning on the charm and flirting with her the whole time.  She had a hard time getting him to stop looking at her so she could cut the back of his hair.  Ian also went, but it was his third haircut so he is an old pro.

I know it has been too long since I updated!

Well,  Things have been very busy.  The boys and I spent a month in NY while Doug traveled for National Guard and work.  I have tons of pictures to post from all of the fun things we did.  We spent two weekends at Cayuga Lake.  The boys went out on the boat and in the water.  I even went tubing.  We also had the boys pictures taken while we were there.  I decided to post a few of them because they came out so very cute.

Happy Birthday Ian and Sammy!

Yesterday was Sam and Ian's first birthday.  They had a big day.  They went to the beach for the first time and they had cake for the first time.  Both events were fun and messy.  We went to the beach in the morning with Grandma Jean, Uncle Tom, Aunt Christine, Lance and Heidi.  Sam slept on the way to the Isle of Palms but Ian did not, so he took a nap on the beach with Heidi.

Grandma got us a pony!

Grandma Jean arrived yesterday and wanted the boys to get their birthday gift early.  So they were taking turns riding on their new pony.  They love it!

Ian's First Haircut!

We tried to hold off until their first birthday, but Ian's hair was in his eye's and we did not want to just trim his bangs again.  So, Grandma came down and we took him to get his haircut.  He was wonderful.  He sat very still and only cried once (with a few kisses from Mommy, he quickly stopped).

Crib Party!

After the boys woke up from their naps, I put them in one crib so I could go through the drawers and take out the stuff that does not fit anymore!  They are getting so long.  Sam can barely wear anything that snaps because his torso is so long.

Turtle in the yard

Doug went outside and said we had a turtle in the backyard.  I had no idea how big the turtle was!  We still are not sure how it got into the yard.  We did open the gate so it was able to get out.

Happy Mother's Day

Today is our first Mother's Day!  We took Sam and Ian to church and participated in the Baby Dedication.  They were very good in church during the ceremony.  After the ceremony I had to take Sam to the nursery because he started talking and flirting with the ladies a bit too loud.  They looked absolutely adorable in the outfits we bought for them to wear.  The outfits match their personalities perfectly.

We love the ball pit

We bought Ian and Sam a ball pit and so far they love it.   I will probably regret putting 300 balls inside but they just seem to love it so what the heck.  I will just spend all of my free time putting the balls back in.

Ian and Sam are 10 months old!

It is hard to believe that the boys turned 10 months on the 21st.  Ian pulled up on the couch for the first time.  He was very proud of himself.  They are always getting into the foyer and playing together.  We need to put a gate at the bottom of the stairs because Ian is now interested in going upstairs.

Ian on another adventure

Ian actually got himself stuck under the pack-n-play!
